Level 3 (RQF) First Aid At Work


This is a comprehensive 3 day course covering a wide range of first aid emergencies. The course provides practical experience and includes scenarios and role play to build candidates knowledge and confidence, enabling them to qualify as a First Aider in the workplace. The qualification gained meets the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. This means employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks.


COURSE CONTENT  


Emergency First Aid at Work


This course is suitable for small and low risk businesses to meet Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations and to train an Emergency First Aider in the workplace. It is also suitable for anyone who wants to be able to carry out essential First Aid. 


This 6 hour course is an accredited QCF level 3 qualification. On successful completion of this course a certificate valid for 3 years is awarded. 


COURSE CONTENT  


Annual Update


The Health and Safety Executive strongly advises that annual skills update training is undertaken to maintain basic skills and remain up to date with any changes to first aid procedures. This 3 hour course revisits the basics to top-up the skills of first aiders by providing them with the opportunity to practice and update their knowledge at any time during the three year certification period. Successful participants will receive a certificate accredited by First Aid North valid for twelve months.


First Aid at Work Re-qualification Course


This 2 day course is only available to First Aiders at Work who wish to renew their existing, in date, First Aid at Work certificate. The course has a high level of practical skill and theoretical knowledge, so the First Aider can continue to deal promptly and effectively with a wide range of situations that may arise in the work environment. Please Note: It is a requirement that all re-qualifying First Aiders are in possession of a First Aid at Work certificate that has not expired. This must have been issued by an approved training provider and a copy should be given to the instructor at the start of the course.
